Tuskegee: Don’t Believe Everything You Hear

Interesting insights from Jonah Goldberg. Reason # 124 why it’s important to either a) know your history or b) do your own research: turns out that no one was actually infected with syphilis, but they were lied to about the ‘treatment’ they were receiving. Heinous? Absolutely. But not the attempted genocide as claimed by certain left wing Black minsters, paranoid liberals, and assorted race baiters. Goldberg makes a valid point: essentially, why, if blacks are so distrusting of the the government why do they “remain the most reliable voters for the party of ever-expanding government power… Indeed, it’s worth noting that the Tuskegee study, launched during the pre-dawn of the New Deal-era, was symptomatic of arrogant liberal government.” Read Goldberg’s full article here.

It’s A Judgment Thing

Last week, Democratic presidential hopeful Senator Barack Obama showed us why he is just another smarmy politician and not the Great Unifier as some have named him.

In a disingenuous speech, marginally designed to distance Obama from his whackadoo minster Reverend Jeremiah Wright, the Senator managed to turn the issue from the anti-American rantings of Reverend Wright to a thinly veiled condemnation of those calling out the Reverend’s words.
